I just had the opportunity to spend a couple of days in Maine. October is my absolute favorite time of year there, usually warm days, crisp night, and the peak of color change. As the leaves begin to change colors, nature reminds us that change is not something to fear. It can be beautiful, meaningful, and necessary, a new beginning so to speak.
Sometimes, we get so caught up in our daily routines, responsibilities, and the constant push to keep moving forward that we forget to pause and notice what’s happening around us — and within us.
Fall invites us to slow down, admire the beauty of the changing leaves, and take a moment to reflect. To recognize how far we’ve come, acknowledge what we’re carrying (aka baggage), and make space for what’s next.
Taking these moments to pause isn’t a sign of weakness or lost momentum. It’s an investment in our mental health, resilience, and overall well-being. Reflection helps us gain perspective, reconnect with what matters, and find the strength to navigate change with intention. As woman, we go go go, and so often forget to take care of us: our bodies, our minds, our mental health.
🍁 A reminder for all of us: You don’t always have to be moving to be growing. Sometimes, the most important thing you can do is stop, breathe, observe, and reflect.
As the seasons change, may we give ourselves permission to do the same.
What if we made more time to pause and appreciate the changes happening around us — and within ourselves? Try it! Here’s a couple of my favorite pictures for inspiration. They do not even come close to the naked eye, but beautiful all the same!
